Good

Nice pub with good food. Friendly staff/owners.

Mooring Description :
Side-on moorings in front of pub with additional stern-on mooring dock.
Food Description :
The place was busy as it was bank-holiday weekend Saturday night, but service was fast & friendly. Appeared to be more people arriving by car than boat! Seemed popular with locals for eating out. Nice riverside gardens with plenty outdoor seating. Will definately be back.

I return after 7 years - now the review is very different!

New ownership has made improvements and much needed repairs to the moorings... The decor although fresher I felt removed the previous rustic charm and character... The beer was good from cask...

Mooring Description :
Much needed repairs to existing mooring has been carried out
Food Description :
The food was awful - inedible (cold, above average price and poor quality) - only matched by their poor customer service and arrogance when we complained... What a difference new ownership (and 7 years since my last review - see Melvyn below) makes - this place has gone from one of my favorite pubs to by far the worst place to eat on the Broads... Most definately a change for the worse...

Not a warm welcome.

Moored up at lunchtime last September, walked into the bar, said Good Morning to the Bartender and got a grunt in reply. Not impressed.

Mooring Description :
Fairly good moorings right outside, but not room for many boats.
Food Description :
Did not eat.

Had lunch at Coldham Hall yesterday with a friend and have to say the food was very disappointing and the beer tasted as if it was getting close to it’s sell by date. There were only two parties of two in the pub.

Great Pub

Moored here overnight. The Woodforde's was well kept and very enjoyable. The landlord is a top bloke and looked after us very well. Look out for the new parrot, his name is Jasper (think about it) :-)

Very Much Worth a Visit

Apart from the damned parrot behind the bar - noisy thing, this place is a must see. Beer is well kept, food is good, service A+

Mooring Description :
Not the best, room for maybe 7 boats single moored ?
Food Description :
Outstanding food, not cheap, but good value for money. Nice beer garden and a pool table inside.

My favourite eating out pub on the Broads!

This is a pub to head for if you enjoy a large meal - because they do not come any larger than this! The Real Ale is excellent - Usually Speckled Hen or Broadside on tap...

Mooring Description :
Quite a few stern on moorings available next to the pub, plus a couple of side on moorings right outside the pub
Food Description :
The 'Desperate Dan' Steak and kidney (or was it ale?) pie is a must sample - but don't have a starter because this lot is served up on something the size of a salad plate! So 10/10 for quantity and VFM - but also 10/10 for the quality also!!! Still my fave after all these years (20 of them! Plus I now live in Ludham!)
