Friendly community pub.

We have come here every time for a dozen or more years and it is always one of the best true pubs around.

Mooring Description :
Public staithe (tiny), or Richardsons or Moonfleet. All good moorings.
Food Description :
Not pretentious, "pub grub" at a very fair price and always good: the kitchen is usually busy which is a good sign.

Well worth a call

Always a friendly greeting and top-clas service. Adnams' ales in fine condition - look out for Ghost Ship.

Mooring Description :
Good but few at the staithe, or many and excellent at Richardsons, ten minutes away in either case.
Food Description :
Did not dine this time but have been very satisified in the past.

Superb all-round

We decided to have a bite to eat here last Thursday evening. There were no tables available in the restaurant so we decided to go into the games room and eat there. We had some drinks, a game of pool and selected numerous songs on the jukebox machine. We then ordered an all day breakfast, cottage pie and chips (twice) off the senior citizen's menu, plus burger and chips.

Mooring Description :
Plenty of moorings available in boatyards. Around a 10 minute walk to the boatyard.
Food Description :
The meals were excellent in both quality and price. The all day breakfast contained bacon, sausages, eggs, beans, hash browns, mushrooms, toast and butter. The burger was succulent and the cottage pie came with vegetables and gravy. We waited 30 minutes for the food to arrive, but this was acceptable as the restaurant was crammed.

Good night out

We walked up towards the centre of Stalham and came across this pub along the High Street. We decided to go into the games room located on the right-hand side of the pub. We had a couple of drinks, a few games of pool, a game of darts and we selected a few songs on the jukebox machine. The jukebox machine contains an amazing 2 million songs. The pool table was situated too near the wall and it was difficult at times to play a shot.

Best on the Broads!!

We were there June/July 2008. Bit of a walk, over a main road, past Tesco's, but well worth it. Car park at the the back if you're driving. Public bar with pool table, darts and music. Saloon/restaurant with good space and decoration. Beer garden at back for smokers. Staff are fantastic, always a smile and a laugh - and that includes the boss (Elaine I think). I was there with 6 (six) German friends and no one was disappointed with drink, food or service. Saw no kids in the Swan but of course they were at school, best place for 'em.

Mooring Description :
Moorings good but don't remember if we paid or not!
Food Description :
Everything was so good - lamb shanks, fish, yorkshire puds, grills, the lot all at a very fair price. Adnams beers were all well served. I raise my hat to you ladies (and gents), thankyou.
