Now an Innkeepers Lodge (M&B)

Stayed for 3 nights over a weekend. Pay for Friday and Saturday, and get Sunday free. Room was very small, but newly decorated with a good shower room. Price includes continental breakfast. Excellent views of the river from the bedroom.

Mooring Description :
Long mooring in front of the pub, but picnic benches shown in the picture above had been laid end to end to prevent mooring or landing. Public moorings available just along the river.
Food Description :
The choice of food is a carvery or very short alternative menu. The carvery food was fresh and very good, and only costs £3.50 Monday to Saturday, and £6.50 on Sunday. Used the Chef and Brewer (about a 10 minute walk away) on one evening - first class.

A Beefeater Inn

A pub/hotel with picnic tables on lawn running down to the rivers edge. Good view of the river from both the bar and the restaurant, although as it is on the old loop the low bridges mean that there is not always a lot going on.

Mooring Description :
Decent mooring directly outside but no idea of depth. Moorings also available at the green and then walk away from The Rushcutters. Access to both moorings is restricted by the low bridges at either end of the loop.
Food Description :
Food is available in the restaurant and bar. The all day 2 course special can be upgraded to 3 for an extra £1.25 and is exceptional value, especially when compared to some of the other places on the Braods.
