Any one know what this is going to be.
It is a new build on Irstead Staithe.Looks really nice but the top windows look like they will be blocke by the rear part of the build.

It could be BA/2017/0154/HOUSEH, described as a studio, garden room and garage.

  Tks Pally.
Looks very nice, but not much of a river view due to the building height towards the river.

Nice brickwork!  Flemish bond and white mortar.

It could be the angle of your photograph and the view is better once you are up there.
However if it is a Studio for an artist it could be purely to get the right light. Many painters for instance favour a large North window so the light is constant throughout the day.

Count the Brick courses from the joining wall, the bottom of the Windows are at leat 5 courses higher than the roofline of the rear building.

Dave

if it is to be it is up to me.

  TT has that right.
The "Panoramic window" would be pointless if there was not a view. I am sure that from inside the building the back part will be well below that view.
I have been in a few buildings with such windows. They are very effective at giving a whole landscape view, even when the window is not very tall.
Interesting building by the look of it.

One never knows, but it might win an architectural award like the cottage and attached sheds by Hunsett Mill!

"might win an architectural award like the cottage and attached sheds by Hunsett Mill! "

Much better design / looking than that building at Hunsette.

You could well be right Dave ref. the heights. Will be nice to see the finished results.   You never know might even be able to get a tour from the inside ;-)

Not that one but I have been told the "mooring police" has moved on.

Ooh has he? I was never sure where he came from - just saw him appear and take pics of boats ! And tell folk off! Or interrogate them as he once did us, with his assumption that everyone moved off after breakfast when actually we had arrived mid aft and would be leaving mid aft ( to go home to Yorkshire !) If he's gone that's great as he was very prickly indeed.

We've also had more than one 'discussion' with 'Mr. Irstead' in the past, so that's good to hear.
