Hoepfully you will be pleased to know that the Broadshaven Tavern will be open in time for Easter. Some emergency repairs and refurbs are being done starting on about the 21st March and continuing over a period of about 6 weeks. The long term future of the pub is still under discussion but it will remain as a pub and it will be open from about 4th or 5th April. Smile

I hope it all goes well and I'm looking forward to a visit. Hopefully the pub's long term future will get sorted.

Not really confusing, Broadshaven said it will hopefully be open by 4th 5th April. Easter is after that.  Not unheard of to have pub open during refurb!

This really is good news! On a pleasant summer evening the walk up to The Falgate can be quite pleasant but the walk back in the dark, after a few pints can be a pain!!!
Regards.....Alan.

The plan at the moment is to open the Wherry bar at the front along with the "restaurant" area. The pub is having to have 31 (yes thirty one) new windows fitted urgetly along with 8 new doors to protect it. The Riverside bar or function room will remain shut. The garden will of course be in use. Punch Taverns are spending about £75K to get it open and then a further £200K at the end of the season. Hope this is helpful and I wish I could spell hopefully (see opening post LOL)

Lol Broadshaven!  A love of the Broads, rather than perfect typing, is the only requirement for this website.

As I've mentioned on other threads, the Broadshaven hasn't been my idea of heaven in the past, but it's good news for the area as a whole that EVERY waterside establishment should survive and thrive. Power to your elbows, and we'll surely give you a try, when you've had time to settle.

Regards, Ray.

If it's neither here, nor there, then where is it?
