Just to set the record straight:

The Spanish Restaurant at the Stracey Arms site
(Embrujo) closed for good on Saturday 4th October.

The Hermitage closed on Saturday 27th September.

The owners of the Spanish Restaurant will be
reopening in the old Hermitage restaurant in Acle
around the end of November.

I understand Maria and Fernando will include some of
the favourite fish and steak items from the old
Hermitage on their new menu to appease long term
regulars there.

Not sure what the new owner of Stracey Arms intends
to do there.

Good news and bad, good that the Hermitage is going to remain a restaurant and good news that Embrujo will carry on but I feel they will need to "up their game" to retain the Hermitages rep.
Bad news that the Stracey Arms will be shut again and I can't help feeling that it is for the last time, there is a simple way to ensure the Stracey Arms could remain open as a pub/restaurant and I'm surprised that no one else has thought of it. It would mean a significant investment but it is an ideal site.

I imagine having paid best part of £200k the new owner has plans for the Stracey Arms site - no idea what though.

Interestingly, the outgoing owners of the Hermitage were quite complimentary on the "goodbye" message on their web site:

Hermitage web site

I suppose some may think "they would say that", but I can vouch for the fact they've been regulars at Embrujo for some time.

Sea going marina for boats able to clear the Yarmouth Bridges if you could get permission and if there is enough land. Would need security though.

Isn't the land lower than the river level there?

If you are correct Dave, then you are half way there. A fully piled basin, bunded all round with floating pontoons within. It would save on the excavation costs.
