When you say tidy up, what exactly do you mean?

The ground is cleared, discretely fenced and provides parking for many of the property owners and bungalow hirers who bring much needed income to the area.

Your dead right John I was only thinking a newly surfaced car park would look better, nothing against how its being used, infact I'm sure some of my hirers use it.

Fact the previous manager d.lewis is still ruining the show behind the scenes. Fact the people behind the bar are just running the pub for d.lewis till his contract ends round September. Also the stand in manager has now increased the beer by 15p pint and increased other drinks happy holiday.

The Broadshaven is closed again.  Source of information:  the stand-in landlord and landlady, Darren and Irene.

It doesn't really matter who was running it on who's behalf, it was better than it being shut. For what it's worth, I thought the way it was being run last year was a vast improvement on the previous few years. The place was clean and "inviting" though I agree a little could have been done to improve the kerb appeal but the staff were friendly and efficient, the srinks were good with a decent selection and not madly overpriced. I can't really comment on the food because we only had cheesy chips which were fine.
This is another Pub that is crying out for a private owner who is interested in building a business not ripping off as much cash as he/she can in the shortest time possible. All IMHO of course.

With all the recent improvements at potter recently it would be a great shame if this establishment  remains closed as it will quickly become an eyesore on the river  bank.

Agreed.

As I mentioned in the Potter Tearooms thread the other day, we thought Potter was looking very nice at the weekend.

The place remains closed. Best it's pulled down and a more attractive building put in its place. But then it wouldn't fit in with PH which remains ghastly in every respect.
