This past weekend (Friday) we stopped at Wroxham, and went hunting for somewhere to eat, with pretty open minds.  Normally when we are boating we tend to have 'Pub Grub' (being what is available near many moorings), so fancied something slightly different.

We came across the Thai Restaurant in the little arcade near the bridge.  It was clearly more 'up market' than some other options (like the chippy, for example!) but seemed very welcoming.

We had an absolutely excellent meal there;  the food was delicious, and the service was nothing short of impeccable.  Definitely a step up from a conventional Indian Restaurant.  Some of their ingredients are flown in from Thailand, and some is sourced locally  -  like the most tender and succulent Norfolk Beef I have ever tasted.

Not cheap (just under 50 Quid for two), but definitely somewhere we would seek out to return to.

We use the Yim Siam fairly frequently. Excellent authentic Thai food and good service. I particularly appreciate the fact that you can choose to have the dishes made with Quorn or tofu, rather than meat. The restaurant also does takeaways, which feature the same dishes and are good value.

Cheers

Steve

We found the same. Have never been there until earlier this year despite frequent visits to Wroxham. We were so impressed though. The food was really good quality and great service as well.

We will definitely go again

Yep, we too can say that Yim Siam gets a big thumbs up from us. It has been a regular haunt of ours for some time now, and Mike has even collected a takeaway and run all the way back to the far end of the viaduct moorings with it  Smile  ( The emergency foil survival blanket comes in handy for such occasions ...)

I'm just glad they changed the name, the old one caused havoc on my company credit card statements.

Ate here the last time we were on the Broads & I have to agree with all the comments here. I had a king prawn dish that was one of the nicest things i've ever eaten, well worth the long wait. ( Admittedly it does state on the menu that it takes 15mins. ) Will definitely return when we're back in july.

We eat here every time we are in Wroxham. We have never had anything other than excellent food and service
