Thank you for that, now I know where to avoid.
We don't like loud pubs.

Welcome to the forum Neil , also good see live music returning to pubs from groups on tour from a boat , many here will remember the water rats jazz band who used to tour the broads and play at pubs at lunchtimes and the evenings where ever they moored up , during the summer ,
Again welcome to the forum

Thanks for your welcome. I was beginning to think that everyone on here was miserable!

Welcome to the forum, Rivermusic92.

I would much prefer to listen to live music in a pub than the quite awful Muzak that blares out of speakers in so many pubs. What sort of music do you play? It would be useful to know, then those who like that sort can come and listen, and those who don’t can make other arrangements.

I think it’s more about choices as to how we, as individuals, want to enjoy our Broads experiences than being ‘miserable’. If, for example, you play grunge or garage, I’d avoid any pub you were playing in. If you played rockabilly or bluegrass, I might make a special trip to come and listen.

Horses for courses.  Smile

Well, I’ve answered my own question. The ‘Crew’ have a Facebook page on which there are several video clips. They are a small group, who perform a mixture of folk, traditional and shanty. Nothing particularly raucous and infinitely preferable to some of the performances of the occasional enebriated groups of revellers that are sometimes encountered. I hope they have a very enjoyable holiday.

Music aside, the travel itinerary seems particularly onerous and I am not sure is achievable.
What do others think.

Look forward to seeing you at one of the pubs on your travels . Seeing what you play , I don't think we will need to avoid any of the pubs on your list !!!

Used to Steve? I think you'll find they still do and this years tours starts on the 21st of the 7th  and well worth watching IMHO, I hope the Canal Boat Crew get a similar following, good luck with your tour and we will try to catch you at towards the end of it.
