The Burgh Castle moorings are EA maintained. They have deteriorated to a point where they represent a danger to users. The ball is with the EA as far as repair is concerned. Don't hold your breath. You can still use the Fisherman's moorings.
Whatever happens now, I'm blaming it on Brexit. Everyone else is!
Much of this thread is ill in formed and out of date (as usual). The Berney moorings are in the BA executive area because they are the nav authority and not the EA. What we see at the Berney is a stand off between the BA and Ray horrocks who still owns the Berney and is probable still trying to register as a private proporty and re-sell it. Its all a crying shame. TH
We moored at the Berney Arms about 10 days ago to catch an early tide, there were a total of 10 boats there that night - Having never stopped there over night before, I have to say what a lovely mooring it is. The mist came rolling in at dusk and it was lovely and peaceful. Such a shame the pub is no more, but there is always hope and as others have said - the mill is fenced off at the moment..
