I live down in Kent, local paper has an article that river trips will once again be run in Tonbridge, a smallish electric powered boat is being built at one of the Broads boatyards.

Hi Jon
Thanks for this post, we also live in Kent and may take a trip on this sometime when we're not enjoying the Broads on our boat that we bought in Sept 2014. First full year on the Broads for us. Already been up there for 4 days - but it was freezing. Going back after Easter.

Think its up and running now, will have to keep an eye open for it when I am out in my canoe. The route it takes should be quiet nice, although I assume its only going as far as Town Lock. In some ways its  shame more has not been made of the Medway for powered boats, but the investment in the canoe trail is great for self powered craft, and it tends to be very quiet compared to the Broads.
