Hi

My name is Nick, the boat is called Symphony.

This will be our first winter on the Broads, and we hope to keep getting the odd weekend away.  However being a little nesh we would like to have shore power to hand.

Are there such facilities at Rockland staithe, and if so are they coin fed or does one need to purchase some type of card.

Any info  much appreciated.

Cheers
Nick.

A warm welcome Nick,

The pillar at rockland is one of the new ones with a 16amp and a 32amp socket as the mooring tends to be used by private owners during the winter it might be worth getting one of Brian ward's adapters. The cards can be got from the post office in Rockland St Mary but that is quite a hike I don't know if the pub also stocks them as there is no reference on the handout. They can however alo be obtained from the Riverside Stores in Brunall or from Rosy Lee's by the bridge in Loddon so it might be worth picking one up before hand.

In the first of the two threads Bill lists I have updated my original message with locations / type of posts etc. Thanks to Keith and others who have offered info, if anyone knows of any other posts, or of the location of the post at Hickling (blowed if I could find it!) then please post your findings and I will update the post again.

Regards

Paul

Hi, as far as I know it's actually in the Whispering Reeds boatyard and at this time of year it may be necessary to give them a ring so that they can shuffle things round for you.

Please note that a number of the older pillars do NOT have 32amp sockets. the Ludham bridge one is in the boatyard as well 01 692 630486
