I had a mixed reaction when I read this. On the one hand, it opens the door for people who, for one reason or another, are detered from the Hunter fleet by the prospect of having to quant. On the other hand, it is a step away from the ethos of maintaining the 1930s style of  'basic' boating.

It’s a no from me. Like sticking an electric motor on a bike. I’ll pedal thanks. A usp of Hunter fleet is no engines, strange tack.

I am one of those who find Quanting becoming a more daunting task. So to a certain degree I'm quite happy to have a little bit of assistance. However those who feel the "Electric Quant" is not right should look at the new text on the side of the Hunter's fleet. Bright yellow lettering. "On Hire From Hunter's Yard.Co.UK" Definitely looks out of place. Myself and fellow hirers have voiced our feelings about it.

best wishes
