I see 'Romany' is directly astern of my daughter's boat! By 'eck, she's got a sturdy rudder!!!!

Any other forum members storing their boats there this winter?

Hi JM,
I have my halfdecker sitting outside as well! And yes Romany does have a huge rudder ( if one can say that about an old lady of a certain age !)

Chris is the brave one, telling the world that his darling has gone soft and flabby. Next he'll be telling us that her futtocks have gone all limp!

Or did you mean brave as in trusting our boats to the Martham boat sheds?

Talk about 'Double Meanings'!

How do you lot know what my Bottom is like and where my flabby bits are???  Playful Wink  Evil Grin  Blush  :tounge-in-

cheek:

Yes I do have a Large Rudder but tend not to discuss its uses with strange Males in public places! Scared  Blush

...and as for being an Elderly Lady, excuse me, I not reached my half century till next April! Tinhat

Im looking forward to Chris loving me back to full fitness for next year, yes please!  Evil Grin

Not so sure anything can be done about my Limp Futtocks though, after half a centurys wear and tear they are probably worn out!

Unfortunately Romany's rudder looks in dire need of attention, even replacement! Well worn around the edges I'm afraid, clearly in need of some t.l.c. and firm handling. But Romany herself has got a beautifully curved transom, and a well formed fore-peak!

With careful handling even the most worn out futtocks can be brought back to life, a very satisfying task requiring tender care and much linseed oil.

Perhaps we should have a competition to see who can insert the greatest quantity of nautical double meaning  into describing 'Romany'.

I hope there is not a build up of explosive gas in the bilges.
