Once again a lovely day for our trip back down the Waveney. The new cut was as boring as the last time we passed by that way. Next to the River Chet and Loddon. I am sure that the Chet has got narrower over the years since we were last there. The moorings at Loddon are excellent and we had a nice quiet overnight following a meal in the village.

We had decided to return to the yard on the Friday evening to make our departure for home on Saturday a more relaxed affair. We had lunch at the Beauchamp Arms, once again an enjoyable meal before setting off for Brundall where we had a pleasant evening moored in the yard.

We had received good service from Alpha Craft and would not hesitate to recommend them. Our one gripe was, why do you have to pay to park your car in the boatyard when you hire a boat? It is not good P R and I think that the boatyards should look at this unfair charge.

During the drive back home we discussed the week and agreed a good time had been had by all. For my own part going back had not been a disappointment as the Broads still had the magic that we had found on our first ever trip. We had expected change, but not a lot had, except the number of boatyards that had gone. This is not peculier to the Broads however, the Thames has lost a lot over the years so I suppose it is a sign of the times. One thing is certain, we will be back.
