Spotted this, this morning:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4625699935&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

Looks quite Bourne hull like to me, but the number (obviously a newer BA number) doesn't show anything up on Craigs database.

A long way from home, as she seems to have a recent-ish (ie not lots of years ago) Broads licence on her bows, she also has a BW (??) number on the superstructure.

Cheers,

James.

Hi Carol
the wooden broads cruiser looks a beauty, think she may be one of Powles Star class, similar to Dessert and Missouri Star?
cheers
Mat

I agree that the first looks like a Bourne 35/40 - I initially though she was a 40, poss Easticks Grey Eagle, but I'm now thinking she might be JWBIII's sister ship - I'll PM DaveB

The second is certainly a Star, but I'm not sure she is Desert Star, the photo database photo shows one fewer rectangular window in the hull, suggesting she might be slightly newer.

I've e-mailed both vendors and I'll see what response I get

Craig,
she is desert star. I looked round her in thorpe about 3 months ago, as a possible replacement boat for my parents, there is only one other which still has a varnished hull - she lives in the wetshed at richardsons, the others are now all painted.
