A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

What are your rights regarding privacy when using these camera drones?

What if one hovers outside your bedroom or bathroom window?
Why don't the press use them to "Spy" on celebrities?
Perhaps they do...

What are your rights?

If I was Australian, I might use a boomerang to take one out.
If I was Dennis the Menace, then probably a catapult.
If Roy Rogers, or Buffalo Bill.... you get my message...
So if one of these guys takes one out, has there been any criminal damage or is it intrusion of privacy?
Would it get reported? Would there be a prosecution?

Personally I would transmit a frequency that would block the transmitter ie a jammer, which is probably illegal too  unless kept within the signal strengths and frequency band and let the drone take over.

Personally I think they are great when used as per those videos shown on this site, but there will be others who will abuse the privilege. More so now, following several programs on the TV.

Next they will have incendiary devices in the form of paper ballons with a flame, and let them go outside dry fields and chemical industries... doh... This is at a minimum, littering, so what steps are being taken here? Nothing...  Could be the start of a new rant!

best regards, Richard.

These question have been asked many times -
"

If I wanted to spy through someones bedroom window I certainly would NOT spend £1000's on a noisy drone that is quiet obvious from a large distance .

I would buy a LADDER!

The use of drones can be miss used as can cars or boats, telephoto lens, CCTV etc.

If you are talking about privacy then you need not to look any farther then City streets and the use on CCTV - they are more intrusive than a noisy drone.

Just because I use a telephoto lens doesn't make me any more a peeping tom then you using a point and shoot camera, in fact I would say someone using a compact camera is more likely to be a peeping tom than me with a long lens as a compact camera or camera phone is very easy to conceal .

These questions will be asked many time over I'm sure.

I wouldnt normally put a link onto other videos but as this all to do with the Norfolk and Suffolk area AND some footage from me is included then I thought this may pass away an hour or two.
I am also hoping to get the TV crew down onto the rivers this year to take some footage of the Broads and it's characters.
So here we are......    https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Planet+Norfolk+Webisode

I too like the videos that these drones can produce.
However I think that Rustic made a very valid point about privacy.

The subject of camera drones came up in discussion a couple of days ago. A farmer friend of mine said that anything mechanical that flies over his land other than normal aircraft at normal heights would not be flying for long. I do not doubt him either. He sees them as a totally unacceptable intrusion into his privacy.

What are the rules on this?

1. Are you simply allowed to fly them anywhere without restriction other than in no fly zones?

2. Can a land owner take one out with impunity.

3. There have already been a few near misses reported with aircraft despite no fly zones. Obviously the day that one brings a plane down would be the day that these are banned. But until (hopefully never) that happens are there any rules and regulations in place and are any tests or qualifications required before using one?

4. Can kids use them?

5. Are these going to be the latest weapon for sleazy journalists now that phone hacking has been sat on?

Not a topic that I had even considered until my recent discussion.....
