Hi Mat, there was a 24ft woody on ebay a while back, has helm positions aft and up forward, called Water Gypsy I think. Anyway it didnt appear to sell and I'm pretty sure it's still up at Wayford Marine, might be worth an ask there?

Too big for you, but I saw an old Marthams boat back on The Broads recently, that looks like a project boat for someone - B25. Another classic. It was on the river so not sure if it's just come back and/or is for sale. Haven't seen it up for sale anywhere but might have been in a yard somewhere. Those old ladies are such beautiful shapes.

Good luck with finding your project, and keep us informed if you don't mind.

Thank you Karen and Mike, good to hear from you. B25 is lovely but too big for my mooring. I'm in no hurry as the latest broads yacht is not quite finished! Wink
Cheers
Mat

My boating neighbour is needing to sell his boat. The following info I have is very sparse so please call him - Denis - for more information etc.
It is a center cockpit Cruiser, "SAKILI" with sheatherd hull, 1.8 Ford diesel engine about 28 foot long.
His number are 01692 405095 & 07954411440 he lives in Stalham. I will post some pictures soon. It is an only going project but I have heard the motor running and he has don a lot of work on it.
Reg No. B11 on the database shows as B011.

so here she is now.

Hi Mat,

Yeah - B25 looked like quite a bit of work needed but such a grand old lady. I'm sure someone has their work cut out on what must be 32/34 feet ?! According to Craig's database she hasn't been around since 2011 so maybe she has been recently "rescued", or perhaps being made watertight in a yard somewhere.

Saw Doug & Helen on Nipper last weekend - she's a little stunner too isn't she? Remember seeing her at Horning some years back and admiring her. I love the total varnished look rather than part paint like the Judith's, but I think it works best on the smaller boats and I have to to say do the white hull suits the Martham boats.

Good luck with finding the right project, can't wait to hear about it.

All the best, Karen

Hi  Mat

Hey I hope all is good mate, it’s been a long time since I saw you last. The only project boat I know of is at Martham, up the side of the private shed. Well it was still there last year when going through the normal yearly wooden boat grind.... didn’t check this year. It’s a little aft cockpit wooden boat I would guess 23-24’ may be an old Hampton? I will check with my Dad (Nice One) he will know.  It’s been there for years and although it needs some work it always strikes me as being pretty sound and a good solid base. Could be worth having a look?

Cheers

Paul

Hi Mat
Romany is for sale. Built I believe by Leo Robinson. I know she has had work done, but she wont last too long outside with no cover on her. She is at Martham on the front outside the DIY shed.

Wow, cheers you all, forgot how friendly the forum was!
NCSL know Saliki from my Wayford days, very nice but not a fan of sheathing and the fixed wheelhouse.
Karen was it 3 rivers weekend when you saw Doug and Helle? If so my mate and I were in Merlin, cream wooden cruiser moored in front of Nipper.
Paul really good to hear from you, must get over to Martham for a good look around, was chatting recently to Ian at the yard.
Barry I did look at Romany and know the owners well, still mulling this one over, she does need an engine and some tlc, but a lovely boat.
Thanks again to you all.
Mat
