Hi Mark, I guess from your comments that your not a regular Pike Fisherman. Plenty of other species to target and the fishing on the Broads is excellent at the moment.

I just wondered as most Pike anglers would know that the Upper Thurne including Hickling and Horsey is (or was) one of the best Pike waters in the Country but never "easy" fishing. As I said before, the Broads are fishing well at the moment and have been for the last few years, while people have their own favourite spots, St Bennets, Cold Harbour, Fleet Dyke etc there is good fishing to be found in most places if you put in the time and effort. The best advice I can give you is the, secret is in feeding, put down a bed of good ground bait and fish over it, feeding little and often. Feeder fishing for Bream when the boats have stopped and trotting maggot for Roach, skimmers and hybrids.

Good luck

Dave
