Greetings All
After everybody gave me somee great advice on my last discussion, and being enticed in to my local tackle dealer. We have purchased some great new tackle including some spinning lures. Has anyone had any luck with catching perch pike etc on spinners and if so where would people recommend based on conditions and past experience (lakes or the rivers) cause we're off down there on Saturday for a couple of weeks and would love some advice on the hotspots. Don't fear Pike anglers I very aware how hard the fight and the right way to catch and release them. I have a great respect for this fierce predator. On another note has any caught any Zander, I heard there we none on the broads but have seen pictures of some beautiful specimens allegedly caught somewhere on the Broads,
Looking forward to reading some great advice again
Tight Lines,

Tom

If I have half as much fun as John Wilson I'll be a happy man sorry too much fishing TV

The Norfolk zander come off the Fens. People have been known to catch bass on the Broads and mistake them for zander.

Hot spots, sorry, you'll have to find them for yourself!

Thanks for the info Jenny, Will be down bright and early tomorrow, can't wait to dip the rod in the water for the first time this year.
Out of interest, whats the condition of the bottom of some of the broads is it mainly just detritus (leaf litter etc) or are there some major snags to be avoided,

Tom

Lot of weed in some of the Broads now Tom. www.basspro.com will put you onto good retrivers and replacements for lost lures! Just search for the E-Z Lure Retriever, handy tool and soon pays for itself.

Watch out for evidence of bank clearence because that generally means loads of snags.

I fished the tide down this morning, stopped when I'd had my 25th jack pike! Probably all last year's year class. Nothing over four pounds. Nearly all caught on a spoon fished into the margins.
