Has anyone hired Rose Emblem?    I hope so,   and if so can you say what the fridge is like please?    I like a fridge that has room in the door for milk etc.  Also it has a walk around bed, having looked at the video of the boat I cannot quite make out whether there is a shelf each side of the bed , somewhere to put your morning cuppa.

Your replies would be appreciated.

You mean there are boats with fridges that don't have shelves in the door? I have to admit that one thing that really bugs me about the facilities on Broads boats, compared with those on other waterways, is the minuscule fridges that seem to be the norm nowadays. As for the bedside tables; surely you only need one on your side of the bed. (Your partner, having brought in your morning cuppa will, of course, be busy cooking your breakfast so won't need one ! Smile )

Rose Emblem has an island bed with what looks like a shelf or a cabinet on each side.   Just cannot tell.   There is no excuse for not having a standard size fridge on any boat,  we had a standard size 12v fridge on our boat when we owned it and it had a brilliant freezer at the top.    It also had room in the door for milk butter beer wine etc.

It was also very economical to run.    The Waeco we had on Simoom seemed to run a lot.
