Hi - can anyone recomend a good mobile mechanic, who could sort a leak for me? Best way of describing it is a drip coming from the small wheel part on the end of the throttle cable, i think this could be the fuel pump from looking on youtube? It must have some sort of seal on the shaft im thinking so hopefully nothing major ( he says lol)
Engine is a bmc 1.5 and boat moored at wroxham.

Hi there ,
Sounds like the same problem we had on our 2.2 Bmc , where the throttle cable went on to the diesel injector block , we had a leak there , but the injector block had to come of for a refurb in the end , had to be sent of to be done ,
Simo just found the thread I put up a few years back when I found the leak that sounds like the same problem you have now , hope it helps

Sometimes on the cav pumps the housing itself wears requiring a new housing (just a top cover I believe)or if you work in a machine shop you can machine it out and re-bush (been there-done that)but there are not parts off the shelf to do it that way.
o-ring is the first to try as it costs sod all.
