We are afloat on halloween and was wondering if anyone knew of anything the kids could do.

I think that has all the ingredients of a goolish party afloat..some fancy dress, deck the boat out in some cheap Halloween stuff from Poundland and go on a scary night time walk...then back to the boat for some good warming food and a DVD.

Also how cool to have a Pumpkin on the roof Wink

I daresay that Bewilderwood will be doing something spooky - for a price.

Cheers

Thanks guys, I have already raided good old poundland and got some bits to decorate the boat a little. Was trying to avoid the pumpkin idea, don't fancy trying to carve one on a boat.

Thank you Steve I shall look into that.

Cheers

Dave

Good point.

Apart from the stab wounds inflicted by trying to carve a Pumpkin with the average hire boat knife - upon return to the boatyard being asked:

"What the hell did you do to the roof - have a Barbecue on it!"

You would have to retort:

"No no, the damn Pumpkin caught fire"

Playful

the pumpkin is a must surely, and the old gent at the first house up the lane from pennygate staithe usually has some real whoppers for sale

oh surely you must have a pumpkin  Cool Indifference

how cool would that be to see boats moored up with their pumpkins with tea lights in.

I'm sooo jealous now and I don't have kids lol

Ok we have decided that we are going to have a pumpkin but will either use it with glow sticks inside or maybe a solar light that can charge during the day.

Still unsure if to make it on the boat or do it before we leave.

In the end, it will be every man for himself...
