Hi,

Been watching Zoopla, Rightmove and estate agents website for 6+ months.

In search for a little slice of heaven for our family in the Northern broads, not to fond of potter heigham area.

Seeking Either...

mooring plot with grass area, parking, with or without shed / summer house, just nice little place where we can moor boat permanently, but have space to have picnic & BBQ's in summer. With Electric / Water supply. In wroxham / horning area. Budget upto 100k. anything considered.

Or

Small riverside holiday home with mooring, wroxham / horning area, back water, river or marina property, preferred brick but will consider timber or even building plot. Budget upto 200k. anything considered.

Mooring must be min 30FT.

Slight long shot posting a wanted post on a forum, but you never know.

Look forward to any replies or message me.  Smile

Hi,

Thanks for the reply and we spoke yesterday on the phone:

This is the one you are refering to

http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-41543702.html/svr/3120;jsessionid=1E4006AA5A6CE8375B763BCD02FDB079

Its a perfect beautiful location, however poor access and poor parking, also the quay heading and boards ideally need replacing.

If the above problems were not there then this would be an ideal plot, however with the above issues I'm afraid this one is slight over priced... Confused

You will be very lucky to get a mooring in Horning or Wroxham in that condition for less money if you take off the value of the boat. IMHO

Hi Dave,

Very true, however this has very poor parking / access...

If this would have had decent parking I'm sure this would have sold by now.

Estate agents have confirmed that the vendor is willing to split the boat from sale but is asking for 100k.

I know the area and it is what it is, mooring plots come up very infrequently, the access is always a little complicated because most moorings are down some back wack. You will find it hard to find a better one than this particularly if the planning consent is still current but good luck with your search.

Dave Cheers

Dave (TT) is spot on with his comments and I moor just a short distance from here so I know how nice it is. However, if parking is an issue, I can understand your misgivings.

thanks for the comments

please dont get me wrong, this is a beautiful plot and fully understand the area & honestly if this had good parking and access I would have made an offer on this plot already.

IMHO I just think this is possibly a good 30% overpriced with the issues it has. If no issues then yes 100% perfect. IMHO  Smile

Look forward to your replies and if anyone knows of anywhere else in the northern broads for sale we would love to hear from you.

Love all northern area including Coltishall, Wroxham, Horning (even crabbetts marsh), Dilham. Anything above Acle we just love  Smile
