Hi I am trying to find a cheep GPS device other that my Phone for use on hire boats so removability is key it would also be preferable if it had an internal battery (for non-boating needs ie cycling) cheers
Look at the bank if you can't walk briskly as fast as it's going past then you are going to fast. Look at the wave created up the bank from the boat more than 30mm to fast. Simples . Regards Marge and Parge
I have a Garmin eTrex, works for all I need it for. As well as keeping an eye on my speed, it helps me to keep a track of engine hours and overall distance travelled per year.
Happy to support the honest and reliable pubs and businesses of The Norfolk Broads.
Yo Kfurbank probably won't help the cyclist but I did make old Marge laugh this season when a boat looking for a mooring in a very popular spot had to mud weight off and she said he's no dingy. I replied he'll be OK as he has a bike (which was strapped to the stern) Kind regards Marge and Parge
Cheers the Garmin one look like exactly what i want, in regards to Marge and Parge's message been doing that for a long time but then switched out to my phone after watching some of The Captain's Blog but my phone can't hold a charge so is useless in respects to biking or hiring a duel helm cruiser like we may be doing next year add on to the fact that phones easily go missing and this isn't likely to. Anyway thanks to Colingly for the suggestion
