When we hired if we wanted to be north we hired north, if south we hired south.
I have never seen the point in wasting a days holiday doing the boring bit from Stokesby to Reedham and back, unless you want to visit GY.

Just checked our booking confirmation and it says to pick the boat up from Acle. I'll check with them nearer the time I guess.??

Hi! It's just the Horizon boats which are being moved to Stalham for next season! They are part of the Richardson group. Bridgecraft are not, so they are not affected

When we have hired from acle, we check with the yacht/harbour master to assess times for crossing and if it's right, we spend the first night on Upton dyke, going to the white horse (great food, good beer, community pub, occasional live music...) then we head south for a three or so days

Coasting into Loddon, you should see my kingfisher pics

Breydon is fabulous, if you are into bird watching... We are the boat armed with two sets of binoculars and a telescope on tripod, roof down no matter what the weather Smile

Actually Brendon is fab if you just love big open spaces and huge skies

We then finish our trip exploring north

That said if it's a first time, then I'd stick north, I think
Have a good trip

Have sharp knife and can burn water
