Just watching the latest offering by Pru and Tim on the Canals, really is an interesting series. Worth following on Channel 4 catch up if you've missed it.

Whilst I like the programme, overall.

I don't like the view of Tim saying "Boating is a contact sport". It is far from that in my opinion.

Whilst accidents happen; a public statement like that gives the wrong impression to the impressionable.

I can't operate locks these days. I had intended to retire to the canals, but father time and a dodgy back says otherwise.

Long live the Broads!

I agree!  Very enjoyable, but I am glad it is 'not really the Broads' - Tim's ineptitude would do a lot of damage down the Ant!

I'm not sure how much its Tims ineptitude or clever stage managing. to "liven" up the action. The way he took the boat into the locks along side the other boat shows he's no mug.

Is this a repeat of the programmes that were on last year.   I did record all of them and often watch.   Be good if it is a new lot though.

If it includes"
"Londons lost route to the sea"
"Birmingham to Braunston"
"Shannon Erne waterway"
Then they were shown last Autumn.
