In early September I had to go to Motol Hospital in the west of Prague for an operation to remove a tumour on my right vocal chord. I was slightly disconcerted when upon arrival at Motol tube station the tannoy loudly announced 'TERMINAL STATION,TERMINAL STATION, END OF THE LINE.'Although I,m now vocally challenged,the op was a success.
