For those who enjoy the peace and tranquillity of canal life, be prepared possibly for something a touch diverse.

A four part series begins at 2000 hrs., this coming Friday on Channel 5, entitled Celebrity Carry On Barging  Gasp

Say no more ...

Thank you for letting us know.   I certainly will record it to watch later and will enjoy it even with celebs on board.

Well, did anyone watch it? If you missed it, or want to watch again, click here!   Smile

Edited to add: My5 (the Ch.5 catch-up service) doesn't work with Firefox, so if that's your browser of choice, switch to Chrome or some other browser.

Yes, I watched it and thought it gave a very fair view of boating on canals. Callow bashed another boat and was totally shocked and shaken by this. Lorraine Chase seems very much at home on the tiller. I'll be watching the next episode as well.

Got us to thinking that we would like to have another holiday on the canals.   We did the Lancaster Canal a couple of years ago.   Then I got to thinking , it is all very well if you have a good week but if it rains 24/7 not much fun being out in all weathers.  Think I prefer the Broads.

I watched this and found it very amusing except when they hit a moored barge. They didn't seem to slow or go into reverse when it was obvious they were going to hit it,
although Simon Callow was visibly shaken after the event. I thought the title of the programme very apt!

Well, after the success of “Pru’s got a little problem… but that’s enough about her, let’s see what else I can hit”, I guess this programme was only a matter of time.

We’ve had Car Crash TV, now it’s Boat Bash TV, what next: “Strictly Come Celebrity 44 Ton Artic Antics”?
