Dear Keith,

I have seen the correspondence between you and Steve Birtles about a particular insurance provider. Steve’s response was that he had checked with the insurance provider you named and they have confirmed that they do have product that is compliant with the Broads Authority Act.

The March 2017 exercise of checking insurance showed 100% compliance.

Regards

John

John,

The broker themselves appear on the UK FCA blacklist. It wouldn't matter if they resold someone reputable like Navigators and General insurance, they are not authorised to broker insurance either here or Spain. Furthermore, their preferred underwriter is Northern Reef who are now registered in Uruguay which the last time I checked is outside the EU!!!!

Just because The BA make a request, don't automatically assume they have the powers to make such requests!! Keeping a careful eye on an Authority which is making it's own rules.

John,

In case you haven't seen this,

I believe the FCA is the body referred to in the act?
