Well I just had to smile. This is an interesting article on the BBC, but those of us with boats and only a two or three ring hob have long known there are such ways to cook up a good meal! Lol

Get yer frying pans at the ready for the new season! Any maybe try some new ideas. We’ve slow heated a small lasagne in a big frying pan with a lid over in the past. As recommended by fellow boating friends. Worked a treat.

Frying pans have valuable, secondary uses aboard a boat, such as for bailing, paddling, taming the crew or as an emergency bedpan! A wok, on the other hand, is far more adaptable than a pan, for cooking that is.

Actually yes JR, you are correct!

We have a wok style pan -  more depth and space for alternative cooking as well as a stir fry.

I’ll probably not want to consider the bed pan and other options you mention though  Wink
