If you take a look at the links at the foot of each page on here and click on 'Downloads', fourth down in the list that opens is a manual for the BMC 1.5. The manual shows the recommended lubricants and it shouldn't be too hard to find the modern equivalents.

I have the same boat with the same engine. Both Wilkinsons and Halfords do a very suitable mineral motor oil.

Hi Kevin I use Castrol Inboard oil although this is dearer it is sperficily for marine use it has additives in it to combat rust/condensation and contaminants and long lay ups that you get with marine engines that aren't used every day like road vehicles are, and live in a hostile environment, engine oil is the life blood of a engine. John
